【About ASHITABA】 Classification: Apiaceae(the dropwort family)the genus angelica Country of origin: Japan(Pacific coast from the east part of Kanto to Kii peninsula and Izu islands) History: It began to appear on the market in recent years though it had been grown since Edo era. Looks: Perennial that grows up to about 1 meter in height. The leaf is green. Yellow juice exude from the cut of the stalk. Character: They have the unique smell, umami and slight bitter taste. Main nutrients: Vitamin A, C, E, B2, calcium, potassium, dietary fiber. Expected effect: Tonic effect, diuretic action, antibacterial activity.
First, wash Ashitaba. If it is large, cut it in a suitable size. Next, put all ingredients in the blender, and mix it for about 1 minute from 30 seconds. Finally, pour it into a glass. Very easy!! And, let's drink it as early as possible, because vitamin C decrease very fast.
