Yesterday, I took the English lesson as usual. And I practiced the pronunciation about some words. It's difficult to pronounce "W" for me. For example, when I said " woman" , my teacher heard like " ooman", it sounds strange. Um...I need to practice with pursing up my mouth!
Hi Michiko, I always enjoy reading your blog! Please don't quit!!! I want to suggest a more natural English phrase: You wrote, "I Need to Practice with my Mouth Pursing Up" but the natural English is: "...with my lips pursed". The collocation is: "to purse one's lips". I also read your other blog entry about quitting this blog...I really, really think you should continue! You probably don't realize it, but you have greatly improved your English during the time I have known you. Your progress has been fantastic and your fluency is much better. Actually, I have met very few people who study as seriously as you do! You should be very proud of your progress. ;)
Thank you very much for your comment!
And I'm happy I can know the natural expression.
I really appreciate your advice and encouragement always.
It makes me happy, and I can open my mind.
