Last Saturday, I met seven friends who were coworkers before. And we went to a restaurant for dinner. One of my friends had reserved a table for us. But, when we arrived the restaurant, a waiter asked if we can change to another table. The reason was that one guest of another group can't bend legs. Actually there is Japanese-style room(tatami)for group on the second floor at the restaurant, and only one of these tables is the seats like a trench style kotatsu. Umm, it's can't be helped. So we consented to the waiter’s request. But, we wondered how person is the guest who can’t bend legs. And we guessed the guest was an old person or a handicapped person.
After a while, an interesting thing happened. One of my English teachers came to the restaurant. He is an American guy. He said “ Hi,Michiko!” to me. I was very surprised! And he joined in the group that we changed table. Oh, I see! We understood! The person who can’t bend legs is a foreigner, besides it was my English teacher! Wow, how funny happening!!
After that we were given the sherbet from the group as the thanks. It was so delicious!
And, other food in the restaurant were also all delicious and reasonable.
We enjoyed eating hors d’oeuvre, pizza, pasta, salad, cheese fondue and dessert, and drinking beer, wine and sour. And we enjoyed talking and hearing about a lot of things of each other. Yeah! We had a wonderful time!!
