Yesterday, one of my friends and I held a cooking lunch with our English teacher at my friend's house. The English teacher can't speak Japanese well. And my friend and I can't speak English well. Wow! It's a challenging event, isn't it? But, we really enjoyed cooking and eating together!! About talking...Umm...Don't worry. I used gesture a lot! Yeah, I’m good at body language! But, I decided to study English harder again. And I want to be able to explain everything in English in next cooking lunch!

The other day, I attended a study meeting to suggest seasonal fruit and vegetables for a famous restaurant born in California, and that has been opening many shops all over the world. The restaurant's name is Sizzler , they’re famous for salad bar and grilled food.
And, in Japan, Sizzler has been using many fruit and vegetables carried by corporation Matuno.
And Matuno brought 8 items for this study meeting. For example…
And we thought and talked about how to make salad, etc. After that, we enjoyed eating many kinds of salad and grilled food. All dishes were so delicious. I think it was an interesting study meeting and a good experience for me.
Welcome to my blog. We went to a big park in Shinjuku Yesterday. And we enjoyed seeing red and yellow leaves, walking and eating at there. The colored leaves were really wonderful. So I'd like to show you these photos I took. I'm happy if you enjoy seeing them.
Today, I'd like to show you picture of this pumpkin. It is called 'butter nut'. Have you ever seen or eaten it? The shape is like gourd, right? I usually see and buy the butter nut like this shape and color.
But I got this butter nut that had thin shape and deep orange color from the kitchen garden of my relative.
I made the butter nut's potage soup today. The ingredients are 1 butter nut,1 stock cube, 1cup fresh cream and salt&pepper. It was smooth, sweet and sooooo delicious! And it contains carotene and vitamin C very much. So, to eat butter nut will support your health and beauty.

I think many Japanese people improved the consciousness to disaster since March 11 this year. I also feel it's important to cooperate with neighbors. So I joined the neighboring disaster prevention training last Sunday. And we did a training to make the miso soup with pork and vegetables (Tonjiru)as supply food. We used four big oven pots and firewood. It was not easy to control heat, but we could make the delicious Tonjiru. And we served it to the people joined in the disaster prevention training. It was a training like event, so it was fun, but, I wonder how did I feel if it was reality. I felt sorry about refugees of the big earthquake again. It was a good drill for me.
I went to China town in Yokohama with my friends last evening. And we ate Chinese food for dinner.
The six friends that gathered yesterday are all mothers of my son's friends. My son went to the boys' school of six-straight year secondary education. And we met each other through the volleyball club of our sons, and meet every half a year. The meeting has continued already for six years after sons graduated. And we enjoy eating dinner and talking together always at the meeting. Yeah, we had a nice dinner and a wonderful time Yesterday too. I was very glad to be able to meet again, and I think it’s so happy. We are looking forward to the next meeting!

Hello, how are you? Do you have any plan for this weekend? I did my house work, arrangement of the documents and making a recipe at home all day today. And, I'm going to gym and go shopping with my husband tomorrow. By the way, I noticed my shadow is longer than summer, when we did a nature travel last week. It's no wonder of course, but I haven't been interested in my shadow in my daily life. So, I felt it was interesting a little. Yeah, once in a while, I think we have got to afford the time and mind to walk slowly. Have a nice weekend!!
Do you like mayonnaise? I sometimes use mayonnaise as salad dressing. The other day, I got a handy blender that I had wanted since before. So I made my original mayonnaise by the handy blender today. It was very easy and delicious! I'm happy^^ !

Hi, thank you for coming to my blog. You know Nagano is famous for buckwheat noodles, raw horse meat and Oyaki,etc. We enjoyed eating these local dishes in Nagano of course. However we also ate another delicious food around Nagano station. So I'd like to show you some food we ate in the trip to Nagano last week.
This is the dish piled up Japanese radish, minced chicken's cake, tomato and avocado, and put cheese on it and roasted. Yummy～! 一緒に行った長野に詳しいＢさんおススメの居酒屋さん『だいだらぼっち』 ビールに始まり、美味しい日本酒を堪能～♪ 長野特産の馬刺し等お料理も沢山食べたのだけど、食べるのに忙しくて写真はこの一枚だけ。。。味が染みた大根、鶏つくね、トマト、アボカドがタワーになって、チーズをたっぷりかけてあるグリルタワー。最後に食べたのに重くなく、意外にさっぱりしていてとても美味しかった♪
By the way, do you know the ball in front of this shop? This ball is made by Japanese cedar.And we call it ‘Sugidama’. It's the ball to express about if the bar has new sake(Japanese alcohol) or good sake. Sugidama⇒ お店の軒先にぶらさがっている丸い玉（杉玉）は、居酒屋さんの証。 杉玉は杉の葉を束ねて作られていて、酒蔵では、これが緑の頃は「新酒ができました」茶色になると「今が飲みごろです」というサインだそうですよ♪
