Wood Carving ~木彫~

父の趣味の一つだった木彫。。。今は40人の生徒を持つ先生です

My father has a lot of hobbies, such as golf, chorus, painting and
wood carving, etc.
And, after he retired, he has been teaching wood carving since about
ten years.
There are 40 students in his class, and all students are senior generation,
and my father is also seventy-seven years old.
But, I'm always impressed with his great zeal for making works of
wood carving and teaching to his students.
I hope my father continue with his class.

These photos are my favorite works that my father gave me.

Candle Night Party ~キャンドルナイト・パーティー~

いつも緊張する英会話スクールのパーティーだけど、今日は楽しめた気がします。
ちょっとほろ酔いながら、帰宅するなり、ブログ書きたくなった。。。

Hello, thank you for coming to my blog.
Actually, I’m writing this as soon as coming home.
Because I want to do that…

I went to the party in English conversation school tonight.
It was "Candle Night International Friendship Party".
So we enjoyed talking, eating and drinking in the candle light.
As a matter of fact, I always feel nervous when I join party like this,
because I can't speak English well.
But I was able to speak English with a lot of people tonight, so I felt
very happy, so I'm writing this blog now before taking shower!
And I noticed I need to open my mind, so I want to express my gratitude
to my all English teachers, staff of the school and a lot of people who
gathered tonight.
And, today's fee will be contributed for East Japan great earthquake.
By the way I have one bad thing. I forgot to take photos. Oh no!
It can’t be helped.
Anyway we had a wonderful time!!

Well, I’m going to take shower from now on.
Bye-bye for now.(^_-)-☆

The first lesson ~友達の料理教室~

お友達が、とても素敵な料理教室を始めました

I went to my friend's cooking class the other day.
It was the first day she started her cooking class.
The other friends and I really enjoyed the lesson,
and felt very happy we were able to join the first lesson.
Her lesson is the demonstration type.
I'm sure her cooking class will progress in the future.
And,I'd like to eat her nice dishes again!

Recipe for Noni  ~ウキウキ☆キウイ杏仁豆腐~

紫外線が気になる季節。。。
抗酸化&美白対策に、ビタミンC と E を多く含むキウイフルーツてんこ盛りの
杏仁豆腐は如何ですか 杏仁豆腐の香りと味が ノニを感じさせない代わりに、
ノニが加わりほんのり色づくことで、ちょっぴり高級感が増す感じもGoodです

I'm joining the member to propose recipe for noni's drink of Royal Tahiti now.
So, I’d like to report this recipe today.
Do you like a Chinese sweet “Annin-tofu”?
I guess the good smell and taste of Annin-tofu is suitable to noni.
And I made this dessert because kiwi fruits have vitamin C and E a lot.
I want to expect anti-oxidation and whitening effect in the season of the strong
ultraviolet rays. And,it was delicious!!

【Annin-tofu with Noni×Kiwi fruit】
005_noni杏仁

Ingredients
1 green kiwi fruit (キウイフルーツ1個)
1 golden kiwi fruit(ゴールドキウイ1個)
75g Annin-tofu’powder(杏仁豆腐の素75g)
300cc hot water(熱湯300cc)
180cc milk(牛乳180cc)
20cc nonipure(ノニピュア20cc)
Kuko’s seeds(クコの実 適量)
<syrup>
50cc water(水50cc)
1tbsp.sugar(砂糖大さじ1)

Directions
① Mix well annin-tofu’s powder and hot water in a bowl for about one minute.
② Add milk and nonipure in the bowl, mix well, and put it into refrigerator and harden it.
③ Heat water and sugar for syrup in a pan, and cool.
④ Peel and cut kiwi fruits into small pieces, and soak kuko’s seeds in water.
⑤ Arrange kiwi fruits and kuko’s seeds on Annin-tofu, and pour syrup into it.

キウイフルーツ一個食べると、一日に必要なビタミンC の約70%をまかなうことができると言われています
ゴールドキウイはグリーンに比べて約2倍のビタミンC が含まれているそうですよ

お料理にはおもてなしの心が表れますね。。。

I go to the cooking class in Tsukishima sometimes.
The teacher of the class is elegant and wonderful
and she always teach the seasonal cooking.
And I also like the lovely dishes used in the class.
I think it is important to have good taste when we serve
food on dishes. Of course, the most important thing is
to have fun and to cook dearly!

We learned these nice cooking today too.

Fish Market  ~築地~

I went to Tsukiji market with my friend today.
I visited there for the first time, but my friend have been to there
many times already, so she guided me.
And we bought fishes, seaweeds, dried bonito, vegetables and
famous dumpling, etc. in the market.
I'm sure I can make a delicious dashi(Japanese soup) because
the quality is very good we bought seaweed and dried bonito.

After that, we ate the set lunch at a fish food restaurant.
It was so delicious!

お寿司屋さんは行列だったので諦め、お魚定食が美味しいお店(千秋はなれ)へ。
銀鱈の煮付け最高でした!

These are Rosy seabass(Nodoguro,Akamutsu) and Japanese blue crab
(Watarigani)I bought at the market.

場内市場で買ったノドグロ(体長30センチくらい)と渡り蟹。
数えきれない程の仲卸の魚屋さんが立ち並ぶエリアは、一般人の私達が買い物
するのは、ちょっと場違いな感じはしましたが、とてもオモシロかった!
場外のお店で買うよりは、値段も若干お安い(^.^)

And,I made tomato sauce for pasta by the crab.
So, we will eat it for dinner tonight.

And, I took off the scale and internal organs of the fish (nodoguro). 
I'll grill it with salt.

Today, I want to write a few proverb from my living and feeling.

なんか、最近、い、忙しい。。。
I have been busy recently, so, I really think it is important to use time effectively.
Because, time is money!

ダイエット宣言したものの。。。
I decided to go on a diet, but it's not easy to do exercise every day.
Yes! Easier said than done.

目尻のしわが~。。。
When laughing, I shouldn't mind the wrinkle in the corner of my eyes,
because laughing is good for health, right?
Well, laughter is the best medicine.

Recipe for Noni ~スパイシーピクルス~

ロイヤルタヒチノニ飲料を使用したレシピ開発に参加しています
蒸し暑い季節の食欲不振解消にスパイシーなピクルスは如何でしょう
カレー粉の風味がノニの風味をいい感じで消してくれるようです
硬めに茹でたカリフラワーのパリッとした食感もGood!

Today, let me tell you about this recipe for noni.
Do you like cauliflower?
And do you know cauliflower goes well with curry powder?
I made the cauliflower pickles of curry's taste with noni.
It was so delicious! But, you might not notice noni when you ate it,
so you can add more nonipure if you like noni taste.
I hope you try this recipe.

【Spicy Pickles with Noni×Cauliflower】
カリフラワ056_

Ingredients
1 cauliflower (カリフラワー 1コ 400g)
1 cup vinegar (酢 1カップ)
1 cup water (水 1カップ)
3 tbsp. sugar (砂糖 大さじ3)
1/2 tsp. salt (塩 小さじ1/2)
1 tsp. curry powder(カレー粉 小さじ1)
1 tbsp. nonipure(ノニピュア 大さじ1)
1 laurel(ローリエ 1枚)
1 red pepper(鷹の爪 1本)
10 whole black pepper(黒こしょうホウル 10粒)

Directions
①Cut cauliflower into small chunks, boil it quickly and drain water. 
②Heat vinegar, water, sugar, salt and curry powder in a pan, dissolve them
and cool.
③Add nonipure, laurel, red pepper and black pepper.
④Put cauliflower into a clean container, pour the spicy vinegar's soup.

カリフラワーはビタミン類や食物繊維が豊富で、100gくらい食べると一日に必要な
ビタミンCを摂取できると言われています。効率的な美白、シワやたるみ予防効果が
期待できそうですね

A French food ~鴨のコンフィ~

お料理教室で賞味した鴨のコンフィはもちろん絶品
そして、思い出したのが鴨のコンフィの缶詰。
料理にかかる膨大な時間を考えるとかなりお得です

I went to the cooking lesson at a restaurant with my friend today.
And we learned about how to cook confit of duck.
Have you ever made confit?
It is French food to have soaked meat of goose, duck and pig, etc. in fat.
And, it is a cooking to which it takes a lot of time.
If I would make it in my home, I will need about 15 hours.
And it was soooo delicious!

By the way, I want to introduce a can of duck’s confit to you.
If you would go to Paris, I recommend to get it.
Because it was also so delicious that I can't notice a canned food.

Artichoke and Zucchini ~レアな野菜~

先日、待ちに待ったアーティチョークが届きました
珍しい色と形のズッキーニも

I got a vegetable's package from a farmer the other day.
Some unusual vegetables were in the package.
This time, I ordered artichokes mainly.
Have you ever eaten artichoke?
Actually I couldn't forget the nice taste of artichoke since I ate it in Paris
last year.So I looked for the farmer who grow artichokes, and found out
at last. I was so excited! But, the farmer told me that he had a poor crop
of artichoke this year, so these size were small.
I boiled them and ate the core of calyxes and stalks with mayonnaise sauce.
Yeah! It was delicious, but, I felt the artichokes I ate in Paris had better taste
than them. However I was able to eat the part called “heart” for the first
time, and I was very happy.
And I got some kinds of zucchini together too. I have rarely seen such
the yellow round zucchini in Japan.
I cooked the minced meat stuffed in zucchinis. It was so delicious!
Anyway, we enjoyed the dinner that go well with wine at that time.(^^)

ガクを一枚ずつ剥がして根元を歯でしごいて食べます。百合根のような食感です。
一番美味しいハートと呼ばれる中心部分は更にホクホクした食感でした。
送って下さった農家の方のお勧めで、茎も茹でて芯の部分を食べてみました。
ちょっとクセはありますが甘くておいしかった。新鮮だからこそ味わえた部分でした

形が可愛い丸いズッキーニは半分にして肉詰めにしました

アーティチョークが食べたくて探し当てた農家さん→高梨農場
今年はアーティチョーク不作で例年よりサイズ小さめだそうです。

Hello, welcome to my blog.

I’m thinking about the happiness sometimes.
How about you?
And I don’t have the clear answer yet.
But I think it is depend on how much thankful about my life.

And I also think about the next question sometimes.
What is the most necessary thing for people to go on living?
What do you think?
I think it is necessary we have the feeling that we are useful person
for someone else.
And it is important that we can feel actually so,
we can notice and we want to do so.
I think so.

And, I want to love my life.

A study meeting ~パイナップルズ~

I joined a study meeting held at the company MATSUNO the day
before yesterday.
And, I learned about some kinds of pineapples and eggplants,
and the way to cut fruits and take photos beautifully at there.
So, I want to tell about pineapples.

Snack pineapple(スナックパイン、ボゴールパイン)
You can eat by peeling off the skin of this pineapple by hands.
皮をポロっと手で剥くことができるパイナップル。

Peach pineapple(ピーチパイン、ミルクパイン)
The pineapple's skin has a little pink.

High sugar concentration pineapple(高糖度パイン)
This is the most popular pineapple in Japan because these are improved
for Japanese people.
日本人向けに改良されたパイナップル。主な産地はフィリピン。
海外の産地では、輸出先に受け入れられるパイナップルの改良が進んでいるそうです。

Pineapple(パイナップル)
パイナップルという品名のパイナップル。
It is possible to remove by having the leaf by the hand, and twisting it around.
葉の部分をクルッとねじって取ることができるんですよ Let's try!!

And the bottom of pineapple is sweeter. So, when you preserve pineapple,
keeping upside down and putting it in the refrigerator will be better.
パイナップルは追熟はしませんので、葉を切り落とし甘みが強い下の方を上にして
(逆さにして)冷蔵庫で保存すると良いそうですよ

The new taste ~美味しいホオズキ~

日本では観賞用が一般的なホオズキですが。。。
ストロベリートマトとも言われ話題の食用ホオズキ(フィサリス)を
初めて食べました

Wow! It is June from today, isn't it?
And the rainy season has started already.
Do you have any plan in this month?
I don't have a lot of plans, and I did entry for a first exam hold on July,
so I have to study hard to pass the exam from now on.
Therefore, the rainy season might be advantage for me.(^_^;)

By the way, do you know about Chinese lantern plant we can eat?
They are called " physalis" " strawberry tomato" etc.
Have you ever eaten it?
As a matter of fact I saw and ate it for the first time today.
They seem to get popular in Japan recently because they have good
nutrients for beauty such as vitamin A etc.
It was the good taste like petit tomato, and I liked their cute looks too.

Yeah!! To meet physalis was the first interesting experience
in this month for me!
